Handcrafted large wood barrette in rare Curly Koa Wood

Size: Large approx. 3 3/4" size of clip: 80mm / 3 1/4" The most commonly used barrette size. Will work well for most hair types. Each barrette is individually handmade and may have some variations in appearance.

Curly Koa  (Hawaiian Islands)   - Reddish to dark brown with some black streaks, Medium texture usually with straight grain to wavy.  Because this species is in limited supply it is hard to find and is expensive.

I've been making wooden barrettes for over 20 years. My barrettes are all made from SOLID wood ad built to last.
**Never a thin layer of veneer over a cheaper base wood**

They are screwed not glued to the made in France clips for a strong, durable, mess free joint.

Barrette clips vary quite a bit in quality. I use only the highest quality French Barrette Clips on all my barrettes. They have proven themselves over time to be the best available.
